Pastor Elias Gabriel was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and raised in a Christian home where he accepted Christ at a young age. At 18, he moved to the United States and began his journey in ministry, which has been a significant part of his life ever since. Pastor Elias has been serving as the Administrator for First Baptist Church since 2010 and became the Pastor of the English service in 2021. Pastor Elias holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing his doctorate. He is also a professor at ABTC, teaching a variety of subjects. Passionate about preaching and teaching, Pastor Elias strives to set a strong example for others, identifying and preparing future leaders within the church community. He is married to Nancy, and together they have three children: Phoebe, Jacob, and Elyssa. Pastor Elias is committed to guiding others in their faith journeys and fostering a vibrant church environment.

Nancy Gabriel has been a dedicated member of our church for the past 18 years. As the wife of Pastor Elias, she plays a vital role in our community, offering support and guidance to both the church and its members. Professionally, Nancy is a passionate teacher, committed to nurturing the minds of her students. In addition to her teaching, she serves as a spiritual mentor, guiding others in their faith journeys. Nancy actively participates in the denomination’s women’s leadership group, where she helps empower women in their spiritual and leadership roles. She is also a leader within our church, working tirelessly to foster a welcoming and vibrant community. Nancy’s unwavering faith and dedication inspire those around her, making her an invaluable part of our congregation.

Genesis, affectionately known as Gen, has been the Worship Leader at FBCSG for the past 10 years, passionately inspiring congregants through music and service. With a deep commitment to transformative worship experiences, Gen believes that worship transcends the service itself—it's a lifestyle that fosters authentic expression and community engagement. Her leadership style emphasizes creativity and collaboration, aiming to nurture the spiritual growth of the congregation. In addition to leading worship, Gen is dedicated to mentoring emerging leaders and developing a vibrant music ministry. Outside of her church responsibilities, Gen serves on the denomination’s women leadership team and works as the Senior Program Administrator at the Union Rescue Mission. She treasures time spent with her husband Kevin and their one-year-old son, Emi, and enjoys leading workshops and engaging in community outreach, further enriching both personal and collective worship experiences.

Hi! I’m Kevin and I have been in the worship team for about 10 years playing electric guitar. Started on the Spanish ministry and now I am in the English church. Besides music I enjoy playing video games and watching wrestling. I would love to see our worship team grow more and more that’s why I always try and teach people how to play guitar or bass so they can also worship through music.

Raquel Hernandez, better known as Sister Rachel has been a dedicated member of this church since the day she was born. She has been serving as a leader of English service for the past 4 years and most recently treasurer and Head of the Welcoming Team. Rachel is passionate about making everyone feel at home within the church, offering a place of comfort and support. I believe that the church should be a place where people can find encouragement to overcome life’s challenges. My journey in ministry began with my involvement in the children’s ministry at a very young age, and I continues to draw inspiration from my late mother, a deacon whose steadfast faith laid a firm foundation for her spiritual growth. With a heart for service, Rachel is committed to ensuring that each person who walks through the church doors is met with warmth, understanding, and a sense of belonging.

Amanda Maldonado is a dedicated leader who co-leads the women's ministry and coordinates church events. She loves spending time with her family and is passionate about supporting and empowering women in their faith journeys, while organizing meaningful events that bring the church community together.
